Uniforms
Uniform Fee - $75 for girls, $95 for boys.
Boys must have the official Berkeley Lacrosse uniform shorts and reversible jersey to be eligible to play. The cost is $95 for a reversible jersey, game shorts, and a shooter shirt. Returning players may use their uniforms from last season or purchase a new jersey and/or shorts. Keep in mind that jerseys are worn over pads so your child will likely need one 1-2 sizes larger than their usual size.
Girls uniforms: including a jersey and skirt - $75.
You will purchase jerseys and shorts during registration.

One of the unique features of the Berkeley Lacrosse Club is the availability of rental gear to make the sport more affordable for our players and families.
Boys Helmets will be issued as part of registration! All boys will be issued a helmet. There is no need to rent or purchase a helmet.

Gear Information - What does your player need?
Players are responsible for purchasing their own equipment. See the lists below for the required and optional items recommended for play. Items marked with an asterisk (*) are available for rent if supplies are available. You are responsible for purchasing the other items.
Girls Gear
- Girls Lacrosse Stick* (we like the Ascent Alloy as a starter stick)
- Mouth-guard (cannot be clear or white, we like the SISU Aero)
- Protective Cage-Style Eye Goggles* or Optional Women's Lacrosse Helmet*
- Cleats (lacrosse, football or soccer)
- Personal Water Bottle
- Optional: Gloves (very few of our players wear gloves)
- Goalie protective gear and practice balls are provided by BLC
Boys Gear
- Boys Lacrosse Stick*

Rental Periods and Rates
SPRING RENTAL PERIOD: Jan 1 - May 31 (covers Spring league play)
SUMMER RENTAL PERIOD: Jun 1 - Aug 31
FALL RENTAL PERIOD: Sep 1 - Dec 31 (covers Fall Ball)
- Boys Full Set: $70
(Stick $20, Shoulder/Chest $20, Arm/Elbow $10, Gloves $20)
(Boys Helmets will be issued as part of the fall season - there is no need to rent or purchase a helmet) - Girls Full Set: $30
(Stick $20, Googles $10)
(Girls Helmets with integrated goggles - not required for play - are available to rent for $50)

Rentals Days
Schedule: Gear rental days will be scheduled just before the start of each season (Jan/Feb, Jun/July, and Sep)
Location: Gear Rental takes place at the BLC storage shed located at Public Storage, 1120 Second St, Berkeley, CA on the west side of the street, North of Harrison St.
There is a code to get through the main gate. Walk west from the car entrance, turn left at the end of the row, and the shed is straight ahead on the left corner of the next row, unit AF018.
Returns: BLC believes access to gear should not be a barrier for families whose children want to try lacrosse. As such, the club invests in a supply of quality gear and makes it available for economical rates to club families. The club relies on the goodwill of its families to rent and renew gear with full payment in a timely manner and currently does not have a late fee for rentals that are not returned on time. Please help us keep this program thriving by renting and returning gear efficiently.
CLEAN YOUR EQUIPMENT: Additionally, your equipment should be cleaned before returning. Gloves and Elbow Pads particularly should be put through a washing machine cycle and hung up to dry several days before returning. Mouth guards on helmets and any identifying tape and tape residue should be removed before returning. Please wipe down the inside of helmets with a sanitized wipe.
