Hi All,

First and foremost, I'd like to thank parents, players, and coaches for making this another successful season!

Second, I’d like to thank our departing board members – Joe O’Brien, Doug Berman, Lesley Ransley, and Lisa Porter – for their service to Club. Joe has been an integral member of the Club for many years, wearing many hats as our Vice President - including but not limited to - making sure the kids are equipped and uniformed, scheduling games, representing the Club as the Boys Representative to the NCJLA, and handling many of the operational duties. Doug has kept the Club in the black, as Treasurer, while Lesley has made sure everyone's accounted for and that we're in compliance with NCJLA, as Registrar. Lisa has been our Girls’ Representative to the NCJLA but was also responsible for recruiting both players and coaches.

I’d also like to announce and welcome the 2013-14 Berkeley Lacrosse Club Board Members:

Dan McSweeney - Vice President

Adina Nystrom - Treasurer

Bryan Harfenist - Secretary

Jennifer Hernandez - Registrar

Anastasia Garrison - Merchandise Coordinator

TJ Greel – Boys’ Representative

We are still looking for important Board-level positions, so please let me know if you’re interested in helping the Club with the following openings:

Girls’ Representative

Coach Coordinator

Volunteer Coordinator

Fall Ball Coordinator

Field Manager

Scheduler

Publicity Chair

Fundraiser Chair

As a volunteer-run organization, we rely on our community of parents and coaches to run the club. Thank you again for your service and support.

Cheers,
Charlie
President

Coach Joe's Item of the Week
Nike Elite Full Stick Setup. $49.99 Comes in Three colors. This is the standard price for this stick at all vendors including Lacrosse Monkey which is linked. This head is very similar to the much more expensive STX Proton which is one of the most commonly used offensive heads in the game. The shaft is a nondescript 7075 aluminum, the same as your Brine Swizzbeat without the flashy graphic. The head is a bit narrow, but not overly so. This is an excellent stick for the intermediate player to take it to the next level.
